Saxophonist and composer, Alejandro Toledo redefines what it means to be a musician in the 21st century. His remarkable musicianship reflects his varied personal and musical upbringing.
Alejandro Toledo holds a Doctor of Music degree from Goldsmiths, University of London for his thesis “World Music, Creative Interpretation, and the East Moldavian Roma Tradition.” He also holds a Masters degree from SOAS, University of London in Music Performance, and a BA in Classical Music performance from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Dr. Toledo has received numerous scholarships, grants, and awards. He has performed at major international venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Womad, Boom, and Colours of Ostrava. He has also been featured in Rob Brydon’s Christmas Special for the BBC, and recognized by Channel 4’s Evo Music Rooms competition as one of the best emerging musicians in the UK.
